Why do we not charge fees?
-We want you to get the full benefit of the tax deduction. If we charged fees or listed values for our services, it would not be fully tax deductible. -Running should be low cost/free -We don't want to exclude people because of cost Tax Tip: For those with Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) from retirement accounts, you can donate directly to us and not be taxed on your distribution, while still being 100% tax deductible. Check with your retirement provider and your accountant for further details. |
What is the value of our services?
-Lifetime benefit of improving running form -Reducing injury risk -Not ending your running season due to injury -Volunteer Opportunities to help get into college -Scholarships for college for volunteers -Social connections -Mentorship from PT who wants to help kids go to college Consider these costs when donating? -Cost of co-pays for weeks of therapy and doctor visits when injured -Cost of going out for one meal + tip -Cost of running shoes that last 3-6 months -Costs of other running clubs -All those other little costs that add up that have little long-term value |
